Why Art and Music Education is Important

Public schools have difficulty funding school programs such as art classes and music education classes for ten years. When the kids go to college and the workplace, do not have at least some types of music education or arts education gives children a severe disadvantage. In art and music classes, children learn to be creative and use other parts of their brains than the logical part of the brain that are used in most school subjects. In addition, studies have shown that music and art help children in other subjects such as science and mathematics. Research has shown, too, that art and music classes can help children gain confidence necessary to succeed in school and in the professional world. Finally, in art class, students learn how to use tools such as drafting chairs and tables that are used professionals, such as architects and graphic designers. Therefore, it is important that the public schools to ensure they get the funds they need to keep this program alive.

For example, in science class to be creative will help students come up with innovative and new hypotheses in the class, which can produce a better value. Art and music classes are important in helping to teach the children a tool that can be applied to other classes.

Finally, by using instruments and equipment in these classes to help teach children responsibility and respect for the things that was not theirs. Children who do not have the kind of music or arts education would be at a disadvantage when entering college or the workforce.
